Does UPS offer net 30?
What UPS’s own pages say about paying on invoice terms — and what they don’t say about building business credit.
The short answer
Program: UPS shipping account (invoiced billing via UPS Billing Center)
Account holders receive invoices (electronically in Billing Center or by mail) and can pay by ACH, card, debit card, or check. UPS says payment terms are set per account; the U.S. page reviewed does not publish a standard number of days. Packages are usually billed after delivery.
How to get it
Open a UPS account; to request extended payment terms, contact the UPS sales executive for the account (or billing support on the invoice). Credit approval criteria are not published on the pages reviewed.
Does it build business credit?
UPS doesn’t publish which business credit bureaus, if any, it reports to. Any list that names specific bureaus for UPS is repeating something the company itself hasn’t stated.
If building business credit is your reason for opening the account, ask UPS’s credit department in writing which bureaus receive your payment history — or use a vendor that publishes it. Our vendor directory lists who reports where, with dates.
